Fabio Passon

Born in Palmanova (UD) in 1982, I graduated in Architecture at University in Trieste in 2005 with honours, (110/110 cum laude), and just afterwards in Civil Architecture at the Polytechnic University of Milan in 2008 (110/110).

In the same year I passed the “Esame di stato” (Government exam to license as a professional) and started off as a freelance architect.

From 2006 to 2010, I collaborated with various studios in Lombardy and Friuli Venezia Giulia, ranging from interior design to designing offices, production plants and residences, and I personally oversaw some hospitality projects, after obtaining a scholarship from the Polytechnic University of Milan.

The project I developed, in fact, was published in several international trade magazines and presented at Cersaie 2010 and at the 60th Salone dell’Ospitalità in Rimini, and finally presented at the Triennale Museum in Milan, in 2011.

In 2011 I also received a Research Scholarship from the University of Udine.

In 2012 I founded the Studio DAIR Architetti Associati, with Architect Chiara Bettuzzi.

With regards to industrial design, I have worked with several companies in various fields. The best known project is the Bree and Onda table, developed with Architect Marco Savorgnani, winner of the first G.B. Grattoni project and produced by Riva1920. Presented at several editions of the IMM international exhibition in Cologne, it was also exhibited several times at the Salone del Mobile in Milan, at the May Design Series in London and selected among a few design products to be exhibited during the first edition of the Milan-Shanghai Furniture Fair.

Awarded the Best of Year Design Award Honoree in New York in 2014, I received an award at the European Parliament in Brussels at the first edition of the European Product Design Award in 2017.

A member of ADI – Association for Industrial Design, in 2016 I was elected Vice President and in 2017 President of the ADI Friuli Venezia Giulia delegation until the end of my mandate.

An active association member, I am in charge of several Province-, Region- and Nation- wide institutionally representative roles for Confcommercio-Imprese per l’Italia (the italian general federation of commerce and Tourism)

Since 2020 I have been the President of the Board of Directors of CATT FVG srl.

Internationally, I have been the Vice President of Young European Entrepreneurs-JEUNE since 2021.

Since 2022 I have been the sole owner of DAIR Architects.
